Session 15 Outline

Read Ephesians 5:6-21, Proverbs 14:3, 14:23, 18:21, 26:22, James 3:5-8

Discussion Questions:

1.       Ephesians 5:6-7 tells us to “let no one deceive you with empty words.”  What are empty words?  What does Proverbs 14:3, 14:23, 18:21, and 26:22 tell us about empty words?

 

2.       Read James 3:5-8.  What does Scripture say about the power of the tongue?

 

3.       Read Proverbs 9:10 and James 1:5. How do we not fall prey to empty words?

 

4.       Read Ephesians 5:8-14.  What is the significance of darkness and light?  What does Jesus say in John 8:12?

 

5.       Read Colossians 1:13.  As a believer in Christ, our life has been moved from darkness to light. We are not to go back to darkness!  According to Jeremiah 18:1-4, what does living in the light look like?

 

6.       Read Ephesians 5:15-21.  How are we to treat our daily walk/life?
