2. What does Acts 8:3 and other Scripture tell us about Paul (Saul) before his conversion? In other words, how would you describe him?

3. What can we imply has changed about Paul based upon his post-conversion actions and 2 Timothy 2:1? What do many of the introductions in his letters tell us about his feelings towards those he ministered to?

4. Paul describes Timothy as his son. What are some qualities of a good son? Since Paul referred to Timothy this way, what do you think his expectations of Timothy were?

5. According to 2 Timothy 2:15, what was one of the chief expectations of Timothy?

6. In 1 Peter 5:13, Peter references his disciple John Mark as a son as well. What do we know about Peter (Simon-Peter)? What does Acts 13:13 tell us about John Mark?

7. Even though we are prone to make mistakes, how does 2 Corinthians 12:9 provide encouragement to us?

Question to Ponder: Who is your Paul? Who is your Timothy?
